Sr. Commercial Analyst & Trader

Our client is seeking a high-energy and detail-oriented individual to manage their operational processes. In this role, the candidate will oversee a billion euro asset, manage customer requests, execute trading strategies, and develop hedging strategies for gas and power. They will also be the primary point of contact for operational questions, forecast customer usage, support software development, and manage an external team of dispatchers. The ideal candidate must be willing to be on call for ad-hoc questions and queries outside of office hours. Our client is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the role of Commercial Dispatcher. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or financial area and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial dispatching, commodity trading, or portfolio management within the energy industry. Additionally, an analytical mindset, proactive approach, and strong sense of responsibility are essential, along with excellent team working and communication skills. This role requires the ability to process vast quantities of information quickly and meet strict deadlines, as well as an understanding of the European gas market and the Dutch electricity market. A knowledge of programming languages is preferred.
