You are responsible for strengthening and developing the business for Thermon within France. Customer mix typically consists of end users, Engineering Contractors, Installation/Insulation Contractors, system integrators and Distributors. Importantly the majority of the time would be customer-facing and site visits.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Acquire and develop new customers and key accounts
  • Find new opportunities. Develop plans to maximize sales of the Thermon products, systems and services (solutions)
  • Find technical solutions within Thermon’s capabilities and communicate with the Customer
  • Maintain and develop customer relations for long term relationship based on mutual trust
  • Conduct negotiations, help prepare quotations, assist in preparing contracts
  • Prepare sales reports to management on a regular basis and provide feedback
  • Communicate new product developments to (prospective-) customers
  • Sales and margin responsible for their region
  • Follow up projects and quotations and register in relevant systems

Who are we looking for?

An experienced sales engineer with expertise in the industrial/electrical engineering with a sales drive and the capability to handle complex sales engineering projects in close cooperation with a variety of clients.

  • Expertise electrical engineering on BSc level
  • Good negotiation & communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain sales contacts on all levels
  • Ability to manage the sales process and interact with technical sales support
  • Attention to detail, ability to work in a team but also able to work independently
  • Strong commercial skills and technical background
  • Fluent in English
  • Independent, self-motivated, team player
  • At least five years’ work experience in a technical and/or industrial sector
  • Experience in B2B and the Oil & Gas industry is an advantage
