Manual QA Tester

We're looking for a highly skilled and strategic Manual QA Engineer to join the team of Energy Essentials. This role is a critical bridge between their business and technical teams, focusing on translating business information into valuable, actionable test cases. You won't just be executing tests; you'll be a key partner in understanding their business objectives and ensuring that software effectively meets them. Your expertise will be the foundation for the Automation Engineering team, allowing them to build robust, effective, and high-impact automated test suites.

• Requirements Analysis and Test Strategy: Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Business Consultants to deeply understand business information, application functionality, and stakeholder needs. Your primary goal is to design valuable test cases that directly validate business requirements and critical workflows, ensuring the software solves the right problems.
• Test Case Creation: Design, write, and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual test cases based on the business information you've gathered. The clarity and precision of these test cases will be paramount as they will serve as the blueprint for our automation efforts.
• Defect Management: Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify, document, and prioritize software defects and inconsistencies. Work with the development team to ensure timely resolution and verify fixes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between the business and the Automation Engineering team. Provide clear and precise test case documentation that serves as the foundation for automation, ensuring a seamless and efficient handoff.
• Process Improvement: Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and overall software quality.
