The Short Term Forecasting team is responsible for the short term forecasting of demand and (wind) generation arising from the sales channels.
As such, the team is essential in ensuring minimal costs i.e. maximization of P&L by managing the forecast-related imbalance costs of the portfolio. The main role of a Short Term Forecasting Analyst is to secure the provision of high-quality forecasts by developing, maintaining, and operating forecasting models. |

- Providing state-of-the-art short-term load forecasting;
- Responsible for research and development, maintenance and operation of forecasting models, and for the provision of regular forecasts and near-time signals;
- Providing insight into the forecast quality and the associated imbalance costs;
- Participating in industry discussion on standard profiles and allocation, quality of near-time signals, etc.;
- Communicating effectively with data suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- At least two years of experience in an energy-related work-environment;
- University degree in a quantitative analytical field;
- Feeling for competitiveness in a results driven environment;
- Service providing attitude;
- IT-skills (e.g. Excel and VBA) are considered an advantage;
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
