This Energy Trading Company is looking to further strengthen its risk controlling activities to support its increased trading activities and growth into new markets. As a result of this growth the Commodity and Credit Risk Control team has opportunities for new experienced analysts.
Working as part of an international team you will be in daily contact with Traders, Market Analysts and other Teams. You will be responsible for challenging the performance of the Front Office, understanding, reporting and controlling complex risks in the energy commodity portfolios and leading both business and IS projects with the aim to implement new products and markets into the company's portfolio. |

- Educated to at least degree level with a strong grasp of numbers and analysis;
- At least 5 years experience in commercial roles within a commodity related business with responsibility for risk topics;
- Experience through the lifecycle (from idea to delivery) of sophisticated trading strategies, new product development and risk management concepts;
- Proven experience in leading or coordinating business and IS implementation projects involving a large number of diverse stakeholders;
- Working with large and complex portfolios underpinned by a number of business processes and systems;
- Developing and communicating both risk management policies and (product/book/hedging) controls both at a Board and operational level;
- Working with multi-cultural colleagues and forming productive working relationships.

- A proven self starter with a demonstrable delivery track record;
- Be comfortable with numbers, analysis and statistics;
- Able to take complex issues and explain them in a structured and simple form to management and to more junior colleagues;
- Well organised and have a structured approach with the ability to manage a diverse workload dlivering to tight timescales;
- Experienced in coaching other members of the team to solve complex problems or implement new solutions.
