The first important qualification of a Senior Originator is to have a university degree or equivalent in engineering, econometrics, business or economics and to have proven track record in the valuation, structuring, negotiation and execution of either asset-backed transactions or structured commodity / cross commodity transactions.
Furthermore, it is important to have Lead responsibility for major commercial transactions and P&L responsibility and to experience and familiarity with master enabling agreements, such as EFET as well as non-standard contract terms, counter-party credit requirements, performance assurance, default provisions, delivery provisions. etc.
You have a strong understanding of and view on European power and gas market fundamentals, interconnections, generation assets and market players. Also, you have extensive analytical and financial experience with financial statements, credit analysis, risk metrics. Besides this, you have quantitative modelling skills - demonstrable knowledge of either asset modelling or modelling and pricing commodity structures. Looking at your personality, you are a strong team player who is able to co-operate with members from internal support desks (Mid Office, Risk, Legal, other Front Office desks) to head the deal lifecycle from initiation till execution. In addition, having thorough knowledge of market regulations and sector regulatory frameworks, including congestion mitigation mechanisms, generator interconnection rules, dispatch, balancing, capacity allocations etc is important.
Finally, communicating fluently in English is required and preferably one or more Eastern European languages. |
