Operations Engineer Manager LNG Import Terminal

As Operations Engineer you are responsible for the for the consistency and quality of the operating system of Gate, the operation of the facilities, the quality and transmission of shifts and application. You are responsible for performing the complete production process at the terminal, such as the unloading of LNG in the appropriate storage tanks, regasification of LNG and transporting this gas to the Dutch National Transmission system. For this process you create a detailed planning, for short term as well as for long term, maximizing the availability of the plant. You will be responsible of creating an environment where teamwork comes into its best and you guarantee the speed at which work is being done. Of course, you ensure that this process is in accordance with strict safety regulations. Also maintain your relationships and contracts with suppliers and solve problems that might occur when doing business with multiple organizations. You give direct leadership to 6 Shift Supervisors and indirectly to 18 Shift Operators. You report to the Manager Maintenance & Operations.

You are an Engineer with 5 to 10 years experience in the oil, gas and chemicals sector. It's a must that you have gained experience on a Process Plant. You are highly educated and have the passion to know everything to come. You are also very motivated and you perform under pressure. You think in solutions and have a strong personality that you can motivate others, coach and encourage the utmost of their abilities. Your problem solving ability ensures that you recognize essential information and that you provide detailed and understandable solutions to operational problems. With your leadership skills you coordinate your shift teams and all stakeholders, so that the work on the LNG terminal is effectively done and the goals are achieved. Communicating with employees at different levels is for you an effortless affair.

Gate terminal, the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal opened in the Netherlands. The terminal is located on the Maasvlakte near Rotterdam and is 24/7 operational. It is a terminal which is highly automated and is carrying out a clean process. LNG is natural gas cooled to a liquid state, it is a very clean fuel and is considered the source of the future. The LNG will be delivered by ships and then transferred to storage tanks. From these tanks, the LNG is regasified and then exported to the Dutch national grid. The terminal has a throughput capacity of up to 16 bcm and yielded a loading rate of 12,500 m3/hr LNG.
