| Commodity and Credit Risk Control (CCRC) is a highly international team (working in English) that is responsible for Controlling the risks (price, credit, margin and operational) across the commodity portfolios (gas, coal, oil, emissions, power and associated products), Challenging and measuring the actual and risk adjusted performance of the business and Supporting the company through the development of appropriate new controls and policies that open up new trading opportunities and support the company's expansion into new European and Global energy markets. While a strong numerical background is important we are looking for analysts who have or who are keen to develop their knowledge of our assets, markets and want to be part of developing new approaches to support the development of a world class risk control function. |

As a Manager Risk Oil / Gas is, it is your responsibilty to lead and develop an international team of up to eight people and to be responsible for the risk control of the Gas and/ or Oil portfolios. This includes both proprietary trading and the company's asset base. Next, you report to the Head of Gas Risk and work as part of the Gas Risk management team and you develop the culture, structure and direction of the team. Other responsibilities of the job are to work closely with the Front Office trading and optimization teams and challenge the delivery of trading performance and agreed profit, risk/ return and value targets. You also work closely with the Front Office business development teams to support new trading activity and challenge new structured deals. In addition, you pro-actively develop and ensure approriate controls on all gas and oil related activities (Storage, flexible cotracts, etc) and ensure gas and oil risk limits and hedging frameworks are complied with. Finally, it is your task to define the need for and support the implementation of new reporting requirements into the IT systems. |

A Manager Risk Oil / Gas prerequisites a degree or equivalent qualification in a numerate subject, e.g. Engineering, Science, Math or Business. You also have 4 to 6 years business experience in trading or commodity risk management and experience in running risk controls in traded markets. Knowledge of the European energy market or the international oil markets is one of your many qualifications, just as having iInitial leadership experience or as a senior analyst who has demonstrated his/ her potential to manage people. In addition, it is important to have excellent skills in communicating complex concepts simply and being able to work under pressure. As a final point, fluency in English is essential, knowledge of German is helpful but not essential and any other European languages are a bonus. |
